20TH ANNUAL ATHLETIC SPORTS MEET 2024

St. Charles Women's PU College hosted its annual Vicennial Sports Day with a grand celebration on 5th October 2024. The event was graced by the presence of renowned International Athlete and Vice President of the Karnataka Athletic Association, Ms. Bharathi BL, as the Chief Guest. Sr. Lucy Mascarenhas, Manager and Correspondent of the College, served as the Guest of Honor. Our Principal Dr. Sr. Nancy Cutinho was a pillar of strength throughout the event ,through her immense presence and encouragement.

The sports meet was officially inaugurated with a symbolic release of pigeons, setting a peaceful and celebratory tone. The four houses showcased their vibrant spirit during the March Past and Band Display. The House Display was a highlight, featuring students performing with hula hoops, tribal sticks, gladiator shields, pom-poms, and stars.

In her address, the Chief Guest, Ms. Bharathi BL, encouraged the students to embrace sports and education equally as a valuable part of their lives, highlighting the potential career paths and the importance of sportsmanship, hard work and perseverance. Beyond the formal events, the college organized various activities for both students and teachers. The day also included a special recognition ceremony to honor the meritorious sports stars of the institution.
