Care for Birds – Water Bowl Drive

An awareness programme titled “Care for Birds – Water Bowl Drive” was organized during the morning assembly on 15th May 2026. The event was conducted by the students of II Com D in collaboration with the NSS Unit to create awareness about caring for birds during the summer season by placing water bowls in our surroundings.

The programme began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the importance of protecting birds and nature during summer. The Chief Guest, Mr. Edwin Joseph, appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to show compassion towards all living beings through simple acts of kindness.

The Principal, Sr. Elizabeth Leo, welcomed the Chief Guest by presenting him with a token of love and a memento. During his address, Mr. Edwin Joseph shared his experiences of personally caring for nearly 70 birds at his residence, which has earned him the title of the “Bangalore Sparrow Man.”

The programme concluded on an inspiring note, motivating students to spread awareness about protecting birds and preserving nature.
