GANDHIAN PEACE WALK

To commemorate Gandhi Jayanthi, the NSS Unit, in collaboration with the Climate Action Club of St. Charles Women’s PU College, organized a Gandhian Peace March on 2nd of October, 2025, within the college premises. The initiative aimed to honour Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of truth, non-violence, and peace, while emphasizing unity, social responsibility, and environmental awareness. The march was conducted across the campus with active participation from NSS volunteers, Climate Action Club members, staff, and students. Participants carried placards and banners with Gandhian quotes and slogans promoting peace, harmony, sustainability, and the importance of greenery, creating a vibrant and reflective atmosphere on campus. The Vice Principal, Sr. Elisabeth Leo, addressed the gathering, highlighting the relevance of Gandhian principles in daily life, including fostering harmony, resolving conflicts peacefully, and protecting the environment. She also emphasized the crucial role of greenery in sustaining life and promoting ecological balance. The event concluded with students taking a pledge to uphold Gandhian values in their personal and academic lives while contributing to environmental care. The Gandhian Peace March successfully reinforced the spirit of unity, responsibility, service, and environmental consciousness among students while spreading Gandhi’s timeless message within the college community.
