Value Education & Catechism Session Report
Nurturing Values and Faith: A Journey of Learning and Spiritual Growth

DATE: 8th July 2026

As part of the institution's commitment to the holistic development of students, a Value Education session was conducted for the II Year PU students by Mrs. Sangeetha from the Computer Science Department.
The session emphasized the significance of values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, compassion, perseverance, and integrity in everyday life.
Through meaningful examples and interactive discussions, students were encouraged to cultivate strong moral character, make ethical decisions, and become responsible citizens who contribute positively to society. Simultaneously, a Catechism class was organized for the Catholic students under the guidance of Mrs. Reetu and Mrs. Sowmya Paul from the Commerce Department.
The session focused on the inspiring lives of five remarkable women in the Bible—Mother Mary, Elizabeth, Ruth, Esther, and Deborah. Students explored the virtues exemplified by these women, including faith, humility, obedience, courage, wisdom, loyalty, and unwavering trust in God. Mrs. Reetu beautifully explained how Mother Mary's complete surrender to God's will, Elizabeth's steadfast faith, Ruth's loyalty and selflessness, Esther's courage in protecting her people, and Deborah's wisdom and leadership continue to inspire Christians today.
The interactive session encouraged students to reflect on these timeless values and apply them in their personal, academic, and spiritual lives. The programme concluded with an enriching reflection, leaving the students inspired to strengthen their moral values and deepen their faith while striving to become compassionate, courageous, and value-driven individuals.
