VISIT TO VIDHANA SOUDHA

On the 18th of August, 2025, the students of St. Charles Women’s PU College were given the enriching opportunity to visit the Vidhana Soudha, the majestic seat of Karnataka’s legislature. This educational trip was organized with the aim of helping students gain a practical understanding of the functioning of democracy and to witness firsthand how parliamentary procedures are carried out. The highlight of the visit was attending a live parliamentary session, where the members of the Legislative Assembly were engaged in discussions and debates on important public issues.The students listened attentively as elected representatives voiced the concerns of the people, proposed solutions, and deliberated policies. This experience gave them a clearer picture of how laws are made, how decisions are negotiated, and how governance is carried out through dialogue and debate.The visit was educational and also thought-provoking. It instilled in the students an appreciation for the democratic process and the responsibilities of both leaders and citizens in shaping the nation’s future.The trip concluded with a group photograph at the steps of Vidhana Soudha, capturing the spirit of the day—a blend of learning, inspiration, and civic awareness.
